Student Emergency Kit
Saint Joseph School wants to be prepared in the event of an emergency; earthquake, natural disaster, lockdown, etc.
In case of an emergency, each class will have some basic supplies on hand. Please take a 1 gallon ziplock bag and write your child's name and room number on it and fill it with the supplies listed below. Every child needs their own bag. Please return the bag to your classroom teacher no later than the end of the first week of school.
The kit must contain at least the following:
2 Drinks: Juice pouches. No plastic, glass or cardboard juice boxes. No carbonated beverages.
2 Meats: Anything with a self opening can (anything not requiring a can opener) such as vienna sausage or tuna.
2 Snacks: Anything that does not require a spoon such as granola bars or cheese and crackers .
Change of underwear, packaged discreetly.
A letter from you with words of comfort.
Do not open and repackage any items, all food items must be commercially sealed. Please avoid salty snack foods that will make your child thirsty. If your child has any medical needs, be sure our school office has a 24-48 hour supply of medication available at all times.
This kit will augment what we already have on hand here at the school through our lunch program.
